Beach Clubs in Marrakech
If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech, we recommend heading to one of the city's famous beach clubs, where you can relax, swim and enjoy the chillout music.
Tired of exploring the Red City? If so, Marrakech offers great places to relax and sunbathe during the hottest months of the year.
What is a Beach Club?
A perfect Beach Club will always include a swimming pool, loungers, Bali beach beds, good food, a DJ and all kinds of beverages.
In Morocco, the beach clubs are normally not frequented by locals. These places are a favourite among tourists and foreigners living in Marrakech. The price of the food and drinks are normally more similar to European prices.
There are two important beach clubs in this region: La Plage Rouge and Nikki Beach.
La Plage Rouge
La Plage Rouge, which means red beach in French, is an enormous swimming pool (3,200 square metres) surrounded by loungers and Bali beds where visitors can have a bite to eat, have something to drink, relax and sunbathe while listening to music. This Beach Club is situated in KM10 of the Route d’Ourika.
If you don’t have a car, you can take the company’s free buses that leave every so often from the new Palais des Congres located in the Avenue Mohammed IV. If you prefer taking a taxi from Jemaa el-Fnaa, it shouldn’t cost over 100 dh (US$ 10).
Nikki Beach Marrakech
Nikki Beach is the most renowned beach club franchise with clubs in Ibiza, Dubai and Miami. In 2005 Nikki Beach opened in Marrakech in the city’s Palm Grove (Circuit de la Palmerie). It opens daily from 11:30 am to 8 pm.
To get to Nikki Beach we recommend taking a taxi. It shouldn’t cost over 100 dh (US$ 10) from Jemaa el-Fnaa.
Ideal for when it's very hot
If you like chilled music and want to relax from the busy sightseeing in Marrakech, both beach clubs are a great option. We recommend getting there relatively early to make the most of the day.
